The match due to be played at Herts BC 1400hrs on Thursday 25th June has been cancelled.
A rare red alert weather forecast warning has been issued along with weather guidance from Bowls England.
A number of players from both counties and the host club have questioned whether the match was to go ahead given the alerts and BE advice. Particularly as the match was scheduled during the day at the height of the extreme heat.
Consideration was given to re-scheduling the time, the concerns of players, advice given by Bowls England and the UK Health Security Agency.
As a result both counties made a decision and agreed to cancel the fixture now asĀ it is in the best interest of all parties. All selected players and the host club Herts have been advised by email.
