Sadly whilst the website was unavailable we lost a stalwart in the HBCS and for Hertfordshire Bowls. His son Mark provided the following tribute. Thank you Eddie for your friendship, love and support for Hertfordshire Bowls. May you rest in peace.
“He lasted 8 months longer than the Hospital said he would – but on Saturday 21st March at 3.47pm Dad / Eddie/ Papa Plummie passed away peacefully at home..
I have been truly grateful of everyone’s best wishes along the journey, and I know Dad was overwhelmed with so many people asking how he was and wishing him good health.
An integral part of Buntingford Bowls Club covering several different Officer positions, he was a qualified Umpire, President of the EHBA and heavily involved in the Hertfordshire Junior Development programme – which I know he enjoyed massively.
On the Bowls Green he was part of Buntingford History playing in the Clubs first ever County League winning Team back in 2005
