Obituaries

 

It s with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of the following

members of Hertfordshire Bowls.

Sincere condolences are sent to their families at this difficult time.

 

Bruce Miles

 

Bruce passed away on the 14th June.

He was a stalwart of Hoddesdon & Rye Park BC, apart from his good bowling

representing The Club and the County he was a mainstay in the rebuilding and

refurbishment of the Clubhouse.   He took on the roll of managing and overseeing

the daily running of the Club and Green. He was  also Bar Manager and was

the Clubs delegate to the East Herts Bowls League for many years.

His funeral will be held at 2pm on Monday 7th July at Woollensbrook Cemetery &

Crematorium, Hertford Road, Hoddesdon, EN11 9BS

 

Brian Leadley

Brian passed away peacefully on the 11th June. 

He was a dedicated member of Baldock BC and held many roles at Baldock Bowls

Club and Avenue Park Sports Club, as well as being Assistant Secretary of the

Letchworth & District Bowls Association and a Committee member

of the County North Area.  

Brian was a Life Member of Hertfordshire Bowls.

He was a much loved member of Baldock and will be dearly missed.

 

His funeral will be held at 1pm on Thursday 3rd July at North Herts Crematorium

on the Bedford Road/A600. 

Afterwards at Baldock Town Bowls Club (Avenue Park Sports Club Pavillion.
